IPCA Gathering

Talking Circle was invited to facilitate a gathering on the lands and waters the First Nation is advancing protection of. The purpose was to explore Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs), supporting the Nation and partners in deepening dialogue on Indigenous-led stewardship and governance. As subconsultant to Naut'sa mawt Event Management Services, we designed and led a multi-day gathering that brought together leadership, Elders, staff, and external speakers to explore IPCA opportunities.

Our role was to collaborate with the Nation's staff, a working group, and event coordinators to develop and deliver guiding discussions that foster knowledge-sharing and capacity-building. Through on-the-land and roundtable activities, we convened a balanced, inclusive process that strengthens relationships and supports informed decision-making about the Nation's Indigenous-led conservation initiatives.
